Rihanna and Eminem performed at Comerica Park in Detroit, MI last night. The Monster Tour is coming to an end: today they will perform in Detroit together again and finish the tour.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, and Rihanna teamed for a two and a half hour show that had 50 songs, fireworks and a whopping 10 video screens that took up most of the ballpark’s outfield wall. The screens displayed everything from fire, snowstorms and explosions to diamonds, stars and song lyrics. Not that Slim Shady or his feisty friend needed all the effects to deliver. They had the audience on their feet from the get go.

Michael Imperioli, of “The Sopranos” fame, played the role of a prison official who guided Rihanna’s character to the chamber and ended up warning her how dangerous the man held captive was.
Rihanna walked of the “prison” just before Eminem emerged on the real stage in a gurney and began the night performing a medley with his partner which included the songs “Numb” and “No Love.”
The second Monster Tour show in Detroit, ending this summer mini-tour with previous stops in the Los Angeles and New York areas, ends Saturday night at Comerica Park. Just like after Friday’s show, an after-party with rapper Royce da 5-9″ and Alchemist, Eminem’s tour DJ, will be held Saturday at The Fillmore Detroit across from Comerica Park.
