Rihanna’s “Diamonds” has knocked Psy’s “Gangman Style” off the top of the “Official Streaming Chart”!
After a three week run at Number 01 on the “Official Streaming Chart”, K-pop sensation Psy’s “Gangnam Style” has been ousted from the top spot by Rihanna. Rihanna, who was last week crowned the UK’s second biggest selling female singles artist of all time, climbs up one place with “Diamonds” after three weeks on the chart.
The “Official Streaming Chart” is compiled by the “Official Charts Company” on behalf of the British music industry, and has been running since May. It is the first chart which ranks audio streams from both ad-funded and subscription streaming services in the UK, which reflects the increasing interest in the new generation of music services such as Spotify, Deezer, Napster and We7.
