Robinson Cano and CC Sabathia will host the Summer Classic Charity Basketball Game at Barclays Center on Thursday, August 21. Sabathia and Cano will serve as captains to two celebrity basketball teams headlined by additional honorary captains, Carmelo Anthony (Team Sabathia) and NBA MVP Kevin Durant (Team Cano).
This event will also include a slam dunk performance judged by NBA Hall of Famer Nate “Tiny” Archibald and Skylar Diggins; 3-point competition; half court shooting contest; live auction and much more with a special master of ceremonies – Radio and TV Host Angie Martinez, and sports commentator – ESPN’s Jay Williams.
Special guests are set to be in attendance for this event as well, including Rihanna.
