Rihanna has returned to the Hot 100 list for the first time since April 2018 and she made a grand return to Top 40. This week she returns to the chart and ends her longest break from it with her PARTYNEXTDOOR collaboration Believe It, that dropped on March 26.
The song debuts at #23 on the chart dated Aprill 11 with 14.6 million U.S. streams, 7.3 million radio audience impressions and 4,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
Rihanna who has not released new music (which she talked about in new British Vogue) last charted in April 2018 with N.E.R.D. collaboration Lemon and back in 2017 when she reached #2 with Wild Thoughts that she recorded with DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller. Life was much easier back then.
Since the beginning of her career (2005) Rihanna collected 31 (!) Top 10 hits which makes her the fourth-most in the chart’s 61-year history, after Madonna (38), Drake (36) and The Beatles (34).
When her new album drops, I can see her passing The Beatles easily. Legendary!
Rihanna earns 51st Top 40 hit
Believe It is Rihanna 62nd Hot 100 entry and 51st song to reach Top 40. She ties Eminem and Glee Cast and becomes the eight-most of all time. Once again, once her new album drops, I believe her songs will hit Top 40 easily so probably we will be aiming at passing the legendary Elton John.
