After bringing gothic glamour to La Croisette yesterday to celebrate her new jewelry collection with Chopard, Rihanna opted for the opposite palette this evening. At the Cannes Film Festival’s Okja premiere, the bad gal embraced her inner girly girl in Dior Haute Couture’s off-white silk taffeta coat and bustier dress, transforming the red carpet into a practice run for a walk down the aisle.
The extra-long coat lent a modern sense of drama to the unusual bridal look, while also making the strapless corseted gown feel less princess-y. Amping up the glamour were pieces from her jewelry collection with Chopard. But it was her futuristic Andy Wolf Eyewear shades—which nodded toward the recent Matrix-inspired sunglasses trend—that provided the crucial Rihanna finishing touch.
