Happy International Women’s Day! To celebrate this day and all the amazing women in music industry, Apple Music revealed its top 20 most streamed female artists in its history. Despite having no album out since early 2016 and last collaboration premiering in 2017, Rihanna was able to get the 3rd position. As you might (or might not) remember, Rihanna was the first female artist on Apple Music to hit 2 billion streams. Yeah, that’s right. BadGalRiRi always one step ahead of the others. Last year Rihanna was the most streamed female artist of all time but since she had no song out in 2018 it is understandable that she is down the list a bit this time. This time Ariana Grande takes the crown thanks to two highly successful album releases in 2018.
