Childish Gambino will perform at Rihanna‘s fourth annual Diamond Ball this September, with Insecure star Issa Rae onboard to host the black-tie fundraiser.
“Issa Rae and Childish Gambino were the dream duo for the fourth Annual Diamond Ball and they’re coming,” Rihanna said in a statement. “We are honored and grateful to have them help us celebrate the Clara Lionel Foundation this year.”
The Clara Lionel Foundation, named after Rihanna’s grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite, supports and funds groundbreaking and effective education, health and emergency response programs around the world.
The fourth annual Diamond Ball will take place September 13th at New York’s Cipriani’s Wall Street. Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans will receive the fete’s 2018 Diamond Ball Award for his humanitarian efforts to end extreme poverty, climate change and gender inequality around the world.
