The wait is over! Today is the big day. Rihanna is going to perform at the ‘American Music Awards’ and receive the ‘Icon Award’. In 2007, after releasing her most successful album in the United States to date ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’, Rihanna attended the American Music Awards. The 35th American Music Awards took place on November 18 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California and was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
Rihanna performed her hit single ‘Umbrella’ and later, joined by Ne-Yo, ‘Hate That I Love You’. She also received award for ‘Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist’.
