Sandra Bullock takes center stage as the heist leader in the first official Ocean’s 8 trailer, but she’s joined by glamorous hacker Rihanna (Nine Ball) in the nearly 3-minute teaser that sets up the all-female reboot of the series that originally starred Bard Pitt, George Clooney and their own gang of elegant bad guys.
The trailer, which dropped Tuesday morning (Dec. 19) sets up the elaborate premise of the film, which has the all-star team of thieves — which includes Mindy Kaling, Cate Blanchett, Awkwafina, Sarah Paulson and Helena Bonham Carter — plotting to snatch a $150 million diamond necklace from Anne Hathaway’s neck at the annual Met Gala. The Gary Ross-directed movie is due out on June 8, 2018.
