V Festival’s 21st birthday weekend has been hailed a huge success with over 175,000 revellers flocking to the two day event. Rihanna performed twice: on Saturday (August 20) and Sunday (August 21). On Sunday she presented her new hairdo: curly black hair. With two festival shows, the European leg of ANTI World Tour really came to an end.
The set brought applause of various music critics, with MTV writing on their site:
However, what really won over the crowd was Rihanna’s happiness. […] We feel the crowd at V Festival got RiRi at her very best. She was over the moon throughout the entire set as she danced in the rain and thanked her ‘UK Navy’, waxing lyrical about how much she loves the UK.
Not only did she seem genuinely happy, she was on form when she brought ALL the sass after gushing too much, saying: “I’m gonna stop all this soppy shit, I’m Bad Gal RiRi!” YES Rihanna! Yes you are, and we love you even more for it.
On Sunday Rihanna will be performing at the 2016 Video Music Awards in New York City.

The night before her first show as V Festival headliner, Rihanna was spotted at Harrods in London as well as at the Tape nightclub.
