The Clara Lionel Foundation, founded by Rihanna in 2012, works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts and culture. On December 10, 2015 we celebrate the foundation’s work at the second annual Diamond Ball with host Kevin Hart and a special performance by Lionel Richie.
We are happy to report that our inaugural event raised over $2,000,000 to support the Clara Braithwaite Center for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Barbados. CLF was able to donate new state-of-the-art equipment, which will improve the quality of treatment and techniques for patients.
“The energy, the crowd, the vibe,” the singer, 27, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I love everything about it! It’s overwhelming to see so many of the people that I care about come together to support a cause that is near and dear to my heart,” the singer says.
