Via MTV: Rihanna is set to be the musical guest on this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live,” but having appeared on the show twice before, the ‘Talk That Talk’ singer is hardly an “SNL” newbie.
Not only has Rih dazzled in musical performances, she’s also stirred up more than a few chuckles alongside Andy Samberg’s low-talking character, Shy Ronnie. On a call with reporters on Wednesday (May 2), “SNL” head honcho Lorne Michaels dished that he’s working to get Rihanna into a sketch or two for this episode as well.
“Yes, are hoping so,” Michaels confirmed. “We’ll know [soon]. I wish I could report on everything that’s been written [and] if this were tomorrow, I could,” he explained. “I know that there are a lot of things in the works, but I don’t frankly know how they turned out. And I think it’s our intention.”
Rihanna’s appearance on the show comes ahead of her big-screen acting debut in the action blockbuster “Battleship,” which opens May 18. Make sure to watch her previous skits with Shy Ronnie!
