If success as a teen idol is measured by the volume of screams that erupt when a performer takes the stage and in a sense, that’s exactly how such success is measured – then Chris Brown is every bit as big as the Jonas Brothers or Miley Cyrus. Brown is also a terrific showman. From the very start Saturday at Mohegan Sun, the 19-year-old R&B singer captivated the crowd, which consisted largely of teen girls. Next came the puppy-love section of the show. His girlfriend, the singer Rihanna, joined him on “Cinderella,” Brown’s version of her hit “Umbrella,” and then took the lead on “Live Your Life.”
