The ‘Disturbia’ hitmaker and ‘Stronger’ rapper have signed a deal with their mentor Jay-Z to endorse a line of perfume for his company Iconic Fragrances LLC in collaboration with Parlux Frgrances Inc, Contactmusic reported. Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, said, “We are excited for the opportunity to partner with Parlux and their management team in the launch of these dynamic new brands. This venture will take what is already a successful franchise at Parlux to a new level.”

Rihanna looked radiant as she walked through the Barbados airport with her mother in tow. The singer, who has hardly been photographed smiling in the past two months, was a vision of happiness. Dressed in all white, Rihanna smiled from ear to ear as she and her mom shared a laugh. The singer has been in her native country for the past few days, spending time relaxing with family, friends, and even partying with the prime minister.

On Monday in a Los Angeles courtroom, Chris Brown pleaded not guilty to two felony charges of assault and making criminal threats, charges stemming from his alleged altercation with girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of this year’s Grammy Awards. Since it happened back in February, fans have reacted with mixed feelings to the various stages of the incident, and Brown’s not-guilty plea is no different. Most fans think he made the wrong decision. “I don’t think that that’s right. I think he should [plead guilty],” Brandi Crosmer told MTV News. “You should take responsibility for your actions.” Many, like Crosmer, feel that Brown is using his fame to get out of trouble. “It’s disappointing that this is even happening,” Jennifer Weber said. “Chris Brown is looked up to by a lot of people.” Weber also added that if she was Rihanna, she’d feel “heartbroken” about the whole incident and that by pleading not guilty it would be like “you never knew him. An audio stream rumored to be a demo track recorded for Rihanna’s collaborative project with Lady GaGa has emerged. Titled “Silly Boy”, the track reportedly comes from the production hands of Timbaland. Songwriting credit for the song is yet to be shared. Also, there is no record on whether the track, which heavily uses Auto-Tune on its lines, is crafted for Rihanna’s new album. Earlier last week, Rihanna was said to hit studio during her brief stay in the Hawaiian island of Oahu. She, at the time, was reported to be “looking forward to getting back to work and focusing on her career again.” Rihanna’s new effort is reportedly planned to be dropped sometime later before the end of this year. US singers Katy Perry and Rihanna became close friends after Rihanna said that boyfriend singer Chris Brown beat her up. Perry contacted Rihanna after the beating incident in February. She has now become a support for Rihanna and also takes her out to have fun, thesun.co.uk reports. A source said: “Katy was there when Rihanna needed her the most and as terrible as the stuff with Chris is, at least one good thing has come of it. Both of them have had man troubles recently so they are enjoying having some girlie time.”

Singer Rihanna has reportedly demanded that boyfriend Chris Brown appear with her on Oprah Winfrey’s TV show and publicly apologise for allegedly attacking her. According to the Daily Telegraph, sources have told Look Magazine Winfrey has been in secret talks with Rihanna to appear after Winfrey publicly said the 21-year-old R&B singer should not reconcile with Brown. Rihanna wants Brown to sit beside her on Winfrey’s sofa, which would be a ratings goldmine for Winfrey, and apologise to her on the show. “Rihanna has been talking to Oprah Winfrey on a regular basis since late February, when Oprah begged her not to take Chris back,” the source said. Winfrey’s aides are denying the story. Brown is scheduled to face court on assault charges against Rihanna on 6 April.

Rihanna is apparently back out on the scene. The pop superstar stepped out publicly for the second time in as many days, heading out to Hollywood’s Geisha House on Wednesday evening, a source present at the Japanese restaurant last night confirmed to Access Hollywood. On Tuesday, Rihanna, who is recovering from an alleged beating at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown on Feb. 8, stepped out at an L.A. club to celebrate her birthday. And Wednesday, she attended a karaoke night at Geisha House. “Rihanna came in with five or six girlfriends,” the source said of the karaoke night, hosted by Wilmer Valderrama. The pop star came in “through the back entrance wearing sunglasses,” the source said. Rihanna also wore sunglasses on Tuesday when she celebrated her belated 21st birthday at Coco DeVille, however, last night she took them off, according to the source. “Everyone said she looked so pretty,” the source told Access. And Valderrama made his guest feel welcome.

Singer Chris Brown has recorded a song with his girlfriend, Rihanna, just days after charges were filed against him for allegedly assaulting her, a source close to the record’s producer, Polow Da Don, said Thursday. A music producer says Rihanna recorded a duet with Chris Brown, who is accused of assaulting her. The source, who did not wish to be named because she was not authorized to speak on the matter, did not have any further details. “My heart goes out to both Chris and Rihanna for what has happened in the past,” Da Don said in a statement. “They are both great artists to work with, and I wish them well.” The Los Angeles, California, district attorney filed two felony counts against Brown, 19, last week relating to a February 8 incident in which police said he assaulted Rihanna, 21. A police statement said the incident began when Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, found a text message on Brown’s cell phone from “a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with,” according to court documents released last week.

Rihanna’s family cannot get in contact with her. They have tried cell phones to no avail and her email has been changed. Her mother, her brother and her father have all tried to get in contact with her and failed. Since Rihanna met Chris in Diddy’s Miami home, her family has not talked to her. They claim “someone” is in the way and blocking communication with her. Her father did an interview with US Weekly and this is what he said:
US: If those reports are true, how upset are you?
RF: I don’t know what to say, honest to god. I’ve been hearing so many stories. I don’t feel any pain anymore. I’ve gone numb. I’ve heard so much. But I can’t get on to her. Her mother can’t get on to her, her brother told me she changed her email. Somebody has a stranglehold on her. I’m lost.
US: I know you’ve been speaking with your daughter over text. Is she no longer reachable?
RF: I’ll text the old numbers she had, and I call them. One girl answered, and she said, “This is not Robyn’s number anymore.” I asked, “Do you work for Robyn? Do you deal with Robyn?” And the girl hung up, so I don’t know what’s going on anymore. I’m lost.
Us: What was her last text to you?
RF: [She] said, “Daddy, I miss you.” And that’s it. And I could not reply. I saw a number and texted back, “I miss you too.” And I didn’t get another reply from her.
Truly sad indeed. Not only is Chris abusing her, but keeping her away from people who want her away from him. Does anyone fear violence in the future?
