The packaging is perfection
Rihanna released a teaser of the Match Stix (wind up, stick skin formulas for adding colour and contour) on the Fenty Beauty Instagram page that alluded to magnetic packaging, and we can confirm that they do indeed clip together in a way that is both highly satisfying and totally convenient (no more rummaging around in your bag for rogue blusher). But it doesn’t stop there; every product has been meticulously thought through for ease of application. Take the blotting paper, which is rolled up as one long sheet and fitted into a nifty tear-off dispenser – with an in-built mirror, of course.
The shade range is second to none
Rihanna’s whole ethos behind Fenty Beauty is that it caters to everyone, no matter their skin colour or type, and the range of shades is truly impressive. The foundation comes in throngs of different hues but also different undertones, meaning each shade has a cool and a warm version. Plus, there’s even talk of the brand offering bespoke colour matching; if you can’t find your shade, they’ll mix it up for you.
The formulas are high-end
Whether contouring, highlighting or adding a pop of colour, the liquid formulas are ultra-blendable, without being so creamy they slip and slide around your face after a few hours. The powder products are finely-milled and velvety to the touch, meaning they are both easy to apply lightly and to build up for superior colour pay-off or more coverage.
