It was only a matter of time before one of the world’s most courageous fashion icons landed her own collection. This yeah, not only has Rihanna made her film debut in Battleship, picked up two Grammys and been an executive producer for a new TV reality show (to find British design talent, on Sky later this year): the 24 year old has also teamed up with Armani Jeans to create a capsule collection with Giorgio Armani.
“He is the epitome of class and elegance,” she says of the designer. “A legend who has created an empire.”
As the unbelievably gorgeous face (and body) of Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani Underwear, she’s already brought her trademark sexiness to the ad campaign. She sees the transition from modelling to designing as a natural progression:
“Armani’s clothes are timeless but modern, and that is exactly what I was looking to do,” she explains. “I hope I’m bringing my own twist to the brand. Buy something that will make you feel good about yourself, that will allow you to express yourself and have some fun!”
